113 years. That's how many years of experience in logistics and supply chain management the four founders of E'Log Automation can put together. In May 2022, captains of industry Sacha Van Droogenbroeck, Patrick Hennebert, Marc Guns and Jan Vercammen founded this independent turnkey integrator of logistics automation. "We want to be a no-nonsense partner for small and medium-sized projects and grow into a reference in the Benelux," said CEO Sacha Van Droogenbroeck.
As CEO and co-founder of E'Log Automation, Sacha Van Droogenbroeck has a clear vision of how his start-up can make a difference for entrepreneurs: "Together with my team, I strive to integrate existing and innovative technologies that are sufficiently modular for small and medium-sized logistics projects in the most standardized way possible. And what is also important: reinforced with the right software and a professional after-sales service."
In taking this approach, the independent nature of E'Log Automation is an essential part of the company's DNA. "We are neither distributor nor manufacturer of solutions in supply chain," says Sacha. "We highly value this independence. I know from experience that the right solution for a company is often a mix of different subsystems from various suppliers. We work with preferred partners who offer such subsystems at very competitive rates. And our customers reap the benefits of that."
In modulating customized supply chain solutions, E'Log Automation relies on four applications. Sacha explains, "A first application is the use of Automated Guided Vehicles and Autonomous Mobile Robots for order picking, focusing on the optimization of software flows. We are also looking at automated solutions for storage, including pallet shuttle, bin/carton shuttle and roaming shuttle systems. A third application we find in internal conveyor and transport systems. And for the fourth application, we are looking toward micro-fulfillment, where the focus is entirely on e-commerce and optimizing same-day delivery from an existing facility or new sites."
"With this four-leaf clover, we set out to integrate ready-to-use automated warehouses and distribution centers with strong partnerships. The result: short implementation times and cost-effective projects!"
Or in other words, the experts at E'Log Automation modulate the above four building blocks based on a customer's immediate logistics needs. "We always play an open card. If our analyses show that an SME does not need automation of supply chain processes, we also tell the client this honestly," says Sacha. "In that case, we advise him or her on possible variants or alternatives for automation. Our processes are set up for projects between half a million and five million euros. We are ready to deploy our expertise in redesigning storage and production environments in various sectors; from e-commerce to food & beverage, from pharma to third-party logistics."
This business strategy is a deliberate choice. After all, large companies active in supply chain automation usually promote processes tailored to the implementation of mega-projects. Such an approach is not suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises that want to implement smaller-scale automation projects in logistics.
"That entry-level market is now in full swing, where we are seeing increasing market demand for supplychain that grows with the rhythm of the business," Sacha confirms. "The advance of e-commerce is certainly playing a decisive role here. With E-Log Automation, we want to independently step into the breach for SMEs that want to automate their logistics processes for the first time or give their existing process flow a thorough makeover."
