RAVAS is honored to be nominated for the International Forklift Truck of the Year (IFOY) Award. Global Manager Marketing, Communications & Product Management Bert de Greeff said, "It is recognition for our innovative Weigh in Motion technology on an intelligent Carriage Plate (iCP), which ensures accurate and reliable weight determination of goods, and that while a forklift is still in motion." This is another important step that enables international RAVAS logistics and industrial companies to improve their processes, increase efficiency and reduce costs. The IFOY Award is one of the most prestigious awards in the international forklift industry. De Greeff: "The most innovative and impactful developments in the industry are in the spotlight. Our nomination in the Special of the Year category focuses on improving profitability, sustainability and working conditions. These are special values that RAVAS adds to mobile roads at logistics and industrial companies, large and small." RAVAS operates worldwide. Faster counting, without errors

"A pallet of tiles totaling a thousand pounds, with each tile weighing one pound, makes for easy math and avoids unnecessary manual counting when order picking. It saves time and reduces the risk of (human) error. Mobile weighing reduces the number of transport movements. After all, there are no more unnecessary movements to and from a traditional floor scale, saving time on the shop floor. Very efficient in cross-docking, for example, where products are shipped again immediately upon unloading, without first storing them elsewhere. Less driving movements also reduce the risk of accidents and increase the forklift driver's job satisfaction. Keeping and checking stock records is also more efficient: a smart link from our mobile weighing data via, for example, bluetooth or wifi to the WMS, TMS or ERP system does the rest".

Every company has its own characteristic processes and products. RAVAS cleverly capitalizes on this. Increasing the financial profit margin is crucial in the logistics industry, according to De Greeff: "Many logistics companies invoice their operations based on pallet weight, so if the numbers are accurate, then the invoices are fairer. A customer who wants to ship a pallet wants to keep the weight as low as possible. While the carrier benefits financially from the exact weight, because that creates additional revenue. Anything he bills extra is net profit. Safety is also important, because if you accidentally pick up a pallet that is too heavy, we supply systems that immediately ring alarm bells. This prevents unnecessary risk of tipping, for example."
