CAD Accent joins Arkance Systems

CAD Accent, leading provider of CAD and BIM solutions in the Netherlands, will continue under the Arkance Systems banner. Owner Peter van Houwelingen transferred his shares to the French company on Nov. 1. "A unique opportunity to continue our profession at the highest level for many years to come," he said.

Van Houwelingen speaks of a great step for his company and his employees. After all, market developments and the strategy of Autodesk - CAD Accent's main supplier - have been calling for some time for expansion and knowledge deepening. Thanks in part to its own software solutions, CAD Accent is indeed in core health, but it intends to remain so far into the future.

Focus on the future

So when Arkance Systems approached the Osse company for an acquisition, the knot was cut fairly quickly. Van Houwelingen: "This is a choice with a strong focus on the future. Arkance Systems has great ambitions, which fit seamlessly with the course we have in mind. Moreover, we are also a perfect match in terms of culture: Arkance Systems is a warm company with a great passion for technology."

This is also good news for CAD Accent's clients, according to Van Houwelingen: "This acquisition creates new growth opportunities. In addition, we are bringing a wealth of expertise into our network, allowing us to further expand the services we provide to our clients."

CAD Accent will keep its Dutch name for the time being and will transition to Arkance Systems during 2020. The entire team will join the new organization including Peter van Houwelingen, who will have a leading position within Arkance Systems Netherlands.

Knowledge center for CAD and BIM

Grégoire Arranz, managing director of Arkance, is also enthusiastic about the acquisition: "We are on the eve of a huge digitization drive in construction. We want to play a leading role in this with our CAD and BIM solutions. This requires specialist knowledge, but also the right people. We have found both at CAD Accent. Together we are ready to expand our position as a European knowledge center for CAD and BIM even further."
