Double win for DAF at prestigious Irish Fleet Transport Awards

"A phenomenal truck to drive, work and rest in!" With those words, the New Generation DAF XD crowned "Irish Fleet Truck of the Year 2025" in the tractor category. In addition, the rugged New Generation DAF XFC 8×4 bucket truck was named "Irish Construction Truck of the Year 2025.

For the second consecutive year, DAF took home two awards from the Fleet Transport Awards gala held in County Meath, near Dublin. The jury of the Irish Fleet Truck of the Year awards consists of journalists from the trade press, transport entrepreneurs, drivers and technicians. Winners are determined based on a comprehensive assessment of all vehicles participating in the pageant.

In their report, the judges state that the New Generation DAF XD, the International Truck of the Year 2023, sets the new standard in local and national distribution transport. 'The truck's features really make the difference.' The judges also emphasized that the XD series "offers the best direct visibility, which is ideal in busy urban areas" and that "drivers who have to climb in and out of the cab several times a day benefit from the comfortable step with only two steps. "The cab offers an extremely comfortable driving position. The adjustment range of the seat and steering wheel are greater than ever. The result is a great place to drive, work and rest in."

To meet the construction industry's specific vehicle requirements to the maximum extent possible, the New Generation DAF XFC is available with single or dual drive and several powerful powertrains. "The XFC features a large approach angle, plenty of ground clearance, a robust steel bumper and a steel protective plate for the radiator.
