Family business Van Staveren has been a household name in and around the Northeast Polder for more than 75 years. The company has been supplying energy to the agricultural, transport and mobility sectors since the reclamation. What began 75 years ago with a coal trade has today grown into a network of 36 filling stations and a wholesale business for the supply of various fuels, lubricants and even hydrogen in Central and Northern Netherlands.
Wholesaler Van Staveren recently moved from Dronten to Emmeloord where they built a brand new, sustainable office and warehouse. For the layout of the warehouse, the company was looking for a partner who thinks with them and takes care of everything.
After selecting and comparing several providers, Jungheinrich came out on top. The supply package included advice, racking, a ETV C20 lithium-ion reach truck, reach truck training and various items from the PROFISHOP. These included work benches, shelving units, cantilever racks, storage bins and an electric pressure washer.
Because Jungheinrich was able to look at the construction drawings in time, Van Staveren was able to make the necessary adjustments to the floor construction. As a result, the racks have maximum load capacity. Thanks to narrower aisles and the extra storage height, Van Staveren 28% has more storage capacity in half the square footage.
The additional inventory capabilities lead to more efficient logistics and fewer transport movements. The lithium-ion technology improves fire safety and ease of loading. Thanks to the full-rubber tires, the ETV C20 reach truck also deployable in the outdoor area.
