In the A Series, Hyundai Construction Equipment is launching three compact excavators that meet the EU Stage V standard. They are the conventional HX140A L and two interior excavators: HX130A LCR and HX145A LCR. The models are more advanced and have more sophisticated controls.
The trio should offer contractors and rental companies new levels of performance, efficiency and productivity in the popular 13- to 15-ton class. The compact machines are powered by Cummins' latest diesel engine, type F3.8. In the case of the HX130A LCR, it delivers 55 kW (74 hp) of power. The other two models are significantly more powerful with 100 kW (134 hp). In the popular HX140A L, the EU Stage V certification provides 3% more power and 12% more torque than its predecessor. The HX130A LCR manages to reduce particulate matter (PM) by 60% without AdBlue. The Eco report function helps the operator to work more efficiently and consume less fuel.
On all three machines, the new lifting mode improves the fine control of the hydraulic system. This is done through engine speed reduction, power increase and pump flow control. The improved Intelligent Power Control (IPC) optimizes the flow and power of the hydraulic pump depending on the working conditions. The optional precise swing control can smooth the movement of the boom at the beginning and end of the swing movement.
The operator can also adjust the lifting speed of the boom relative to the slew speed by turning the boom priority function on and off. The speed of the digging arm can also be fine-tuned by turning the arm regen function on and off. Finally, it is now possible to save machine settings via the Key On Init operating mode, so that they are immediately applied when the engine is started.
