Top gifts: from order to delivery in our own hands

Top Gifts is securing its future with the opening of nine logistics distribution centers in the Netherlands. The organization will take full control of the process from order to delivery. This allows Topgeschenken to continue to guarantee the quality and reliability of the delivery of personal messages for unforgettable moments in the future. At the same time, the number of employees is doubling as a result.

Starting this fall, the distribution centers will open in phases throughout the Netherlands. The first center will open this summer in Utrecht. Flowers, and later also cakes, fruit and gifts, will be delivered to customers from their own locations. Challenging (market) conditions, such as digitalization, tight labor markets and rising costs, have caused a significant decline in the number of florists and bakeries for years. This development s to take a new path. By taking the entire process into our own hands, national coverage is guaranteed. The new path also means that Topgeschenken will deliver significantly less through the existing network of florists and bakeries. Topgeschenken is in talks with all partners to carefully phase out the cooperation.

Guarantee of delivery, quality and durability

At the same time, with this step Topgeschenken strengthens its position as a deliverer of personal messages for unforgettable moments. Through a new way of purchasing and transport, clients will continue to be guaranteed quality, delivery reliability and sustainability. Topgeschenken buys products itself, so the recipient also receives exactly what was ordered by the giver. The time of delivery can also be planned much more specifically and sustainably. Electric vehicles will be used and orders, which now come from different parties, will be delivered together. As a result, trips can be combined and the baker and the florist will no longer meet in the same street.
