DAF Trucks presents an extra fully equipped special edition of the DAF XG+ to celebrate 75 years of building trucks.

The foundation for DAF was laid in 1928 with Hub van Doorne's Machinefabriek. The company built its first, revolutionary lightweight trailer a few years later. From there, it was a logical step to the development of DAF's first truck. That one saw the light of day in 1949. The vehicle was actually a chassis with an engine, grille, brakes and steering. In the early years, customers had to source the cab from specialized body builders.

The difference from now is like night and day. The New Generation DAF trucks are not only the most fuel-efficient and safest trucks on the market, but their cabs are also unbeatably spacious and comfortable. The XG⁺ is definitely DAF's flagship, with a volume of no less than 12.5 m³. 

Special execution

The DAF XG⁺ therefore forms the basis of the special edition celebrating 75 years of truck production. The truck features the 480hp/355 kW PACCAR MX-13 engine and can be optionally equipped with the MX Engine Brake, widely known as the most powerful engine brake in the trucking industry.

For optimum efficiency, each vehicle is equipped with a complete Full Aero Kit with spoilers, fenders and side skirts. This, together with the DAF Digital Vision System and the Corner Eye - both standard - guarantees the lowest air resistance and highest fuel efficiency.

For highest comfort, this special XG⁺ equipped with luxury swivel seats that are heatable and finished in leather. The 8-speaker high-end audio system with subwoofer ensures an unparalleled sound experience. Of course, the 80-centimeter wide reclining bed is also part of the standard equipment of this unique XG.⁺.

Driver package

Each truck in this series comes with an attractive "Driver Package. This includes the DAF Night Lock, a microwave oven, a complete set of luxury floor mats and a well-stocked goodie bag.

The "75 Years of Truck Production" version will be painted in stylish Silver Metallica. The special black-and-yellow striping refers to the special milestone. The Alcoa Dura-Bright rims provide the finishing touch.
