Proven track record

Given the clients, the construction company does indeed have a proven track record. Among others, Jumbo, Bol and Plus have had their distribution centers built by Van de Ven. Projects with numerous technical challenges. Smits: "We are able to realize both the construction of the building and the logistics systems at the same time. With the absolute advantage that the building can already be furnished by the client, while we are still busy elsewhere with the finishing. This saves a lot of time."

Factory of the future

The construction company is particularly proud of the construction of the "Factory of the Future," as its client Hessing Supervers calls it. "For us, this was an extraordinary project because we had to deliver a complete package in a very short period of time. We are talking about all infra and structural components, but also all installations, including the sprinkler, BMI and evacuation systems. And of course we took full coordination out of their hands. It was a very complex project because of the size of the building, the many participating parties and the high food safety requirements. But the result was worth it. Within two years there was a beautiful factory," Smits laughs.
