In November, IVECO unveiled the 2024 full range. With a complete update of its line, IVECO thus made the largest investment ever. IVECO introduced electric vehicles while continuing to develop internal combustion engine vehicles. In February, it also announced an expansion of its partnership with Hyundai, making available a new all-electric mid-size van. And to top it off, the S-eWay FCEV will be added next year. A heavy-duty, electric truck with a range of no less than eight hundred kilometers.
"These developments have made us an all-round player in sustainable transport solutions. Moreover, our completely updated line meets the latest legislation and safety regulations," said Loek Vroon, operational director IVECO NLS.
The launch of the new product and service offering is IVECO's result to drive change and provide the operator with an even broader and more complete offering. The focus for the 2024 full range is on sustainability, connectivity, the driver experience and productivity. The new transportation solutions are designed to maximize uptime, reduce TCO and improve fuel efficiency. "We want to support businesses with a 360° mobility ecosystem, a choice of technologies that best fit their needs and one of the most advanced and comprehensive service offerings on the market."
A striking feature of IVECO's updated WAY range is the arrival of the S-eWay BEV with a heavy duty battery that achieves a range of up to five hundred kilometers. With a quick charger, eighty percent of the battery can be charged in as little as ninety minutes. The entire S-WAY series features a totally upgraded XCursor 13 engine. This delivers fuel savings of up to ten percent when running on diesel and gas. When running on bio-LNG, the vehicle can even completely eliminate CO2 emissions within a well-to-wheel chain. The XCursor 13 was developed as a "multi fuel engine. The engine is suitable for diesel, HVO100, LNG and CNG. And eventually even for hydrogen. Next year, the S-eWay FCEV will be added. This electric truck generates electricity using fuel cells, which in turn are powered by hydrogen. This truck has a spectacular range of eight hundred kilometers. This makes it suitable for both regional and long-distance transportation. "Currently, we are even working on a hydrogen engine that does not require the installation of a fuel cell. With that, you can build any configuration you want and we are making another giant leap forward."
"Safety also remains a priority for IVECO. With the introduction of the 2024 full range, several advanced driver assistance systems have been added to the range. To improve business productivity and profitability, we offer a comprehensive portfolio of telematics services. These include predictive functionalities, route optimization and driving style evaluation. This can add an additional four percent efficiency to a vehicle. For example, one does not have to go to a garage immediately for an update or minor malfunction, but much can already be taken care of remotely. Also, one can now better monitor remotely if maintenance is needed."
What stands out is how IVECO has thought in detail about reducing fuel consumption. For example, the vehicle specialist also offers the option of opting for cameras instead of mirrors. This offers better aerodynamics which can already lead to 1.5 percent less fuel consumption.
"With all the recent developments, we can offer business owners a full range of products. From a light van with a GVW of 2.5 tons to the heavy trucks and everything in between. With, of course, the various options that contribute to more sustainable transport."
