Unlock the power of data analytics

At any time, configure and set up integrations

What is the role of data analytics development in the context of a WMS? Are there specific insights that help logistics companies optimize their processes? We shed our light with Peter Johansson and Koen Hom, respectively Head of Business and Client Delivery Manager of NYCE.LOGIC, WMS market leader in Scandinavia.

"The role of data analytics is becoming increasingly crucial in the context of WMS," Peter interjects. "We are constantly looking for new ways to use the data in our system. For example, we are currently developing a Control Tower. That will provide our customers with even better data insights so they can improve operational efficiency, reduce costs and make informed decisions to stay competitive in the dynamic supply chain landscape."

Peter Johansson, Head of Business, NYCE.LOGIC.

How does your WMS help logistics companies?

Koen: "Inventory management is done by our system through real-time tracking and barcode scanning. To reduce order processing errors, there is automated order validation. And finally, our algorithms optimize space utilization by suggesting optimal trolley pick locations based on product characteristics and order frequency."

What about new automation solutions?

Peter: "There are always new challenges to solve. And, there are also always new automation solution providers. Thanks to the built-in NYCE.LOGIC Automation API, our customers can connect to almost any automation vendor. In doing so, our automation experts act as trusted advisors who add value throughout the process."

Koen: "Also worth mentioning is the extensive Hazardous Goods (ADR) functionality in our WMS. Item master data requirements are linked to dangerous goods storage and ADR; customizable item labels; effortless storage segregation and limit level rules; 360-degree process support from receiving to picking, distribution and replenishment; and intuitive calculation methods to ensure compliance with the 1,000-point rule."

You have a lot of 3PL and retail customers in your portfolio?

Peter: "That's right. After all, our WMS is built specifically for them and we teach them to configure the system themselves. Within the user interface, you effortlessly manage multi-warehouse and multi-customer configurations, with unique flexibility for onboarding new customers with diverse and specific processes for 3PLs. Moreover, our system excels in integration capabilities. The internal interface integration solution is seamlessly accessible through the user interface. This intuitive system allows anyone, at any time, to configure and set up integrations."

Koen: "This summer, for example, one Thursday we received a request from a 3PL customer if we were available to support him over the weekend. He was going live with a new customer that he had implemented and tested entirely by himself. In the second case, we saw a customer four weeks after going live designing his own dashboards based on newly acquired data. Wonderful right!"
