Thanks to the expansion of our production site on our own soil, the rebuilding of an existing warehouse, as well as the realization of a completely new warehouse, has become a lot more efficient. Five years ago, Nimar Storage Solutions decided to distinguish itself by completely in-house production of warehouse racking. And with success. Faster delivery times, customization and competitive prices, ensure that more and more warehouse racking in our country are of Dutch manufacture. And the developments do not stand still.
The company is part of the Verkolf Group, which was founded in 1980. Since then it has grown into a group of several (production) companies, each with their own specialism in the field of store and warehouse equipment. "Thanks to all these specialties, we can offer total solutions. If in addition to the warehouse racks, for example, one also needs partition fences, office units, pallet location labels, or lining, we link up with the other partners in our network. In this way we can relieve the customer of all their worries," says general manager Tom Keijzers.
Keijzers has been in charge since Jan. 1, making him the third generation at the helm of this family business. "Our automated production is unique for the Netherlands. And we are the only one that produces its warehouse racking entirely in its own factory within the Netherlands. This is where we want to make a difference, which is why we have recently made another investment so that we have an additional profiling line available for our beams."
Senior account manager Eddy van Sas has been in the business for 34 years: "A year ago I chose to start at Nimar Storage Solutions. "For someone like me, it's just really cool when you work at a company that produces everything themselves."
The expertise and customized solutions can also generate savings: "We look very specifically at our customers' requirements and demand. Because we are not tied to outside factories, we can respond exactly to what our customers need. Whether this is standard material or customer specific, we offer the best solution." Incidentally, Nimar Storage Solutions not only performs inspections on its own products, but also inspections on other brands of racks. It does this with certified inspectors under the umbrella of the BMWT, the trade organization for suppliers of warehouse equipment, among other things.
Nimar Storage Solutions is increasingly being chosen for tenders. For Bunzl, a leading wholesaler in packaging materials, they were asked to provide 30,000m2 of warehouse space with pallet racking. Henk Willems, logistics manager at Bunzl, says: "We had invited tenders from seven potential suppliers. In the end we awarded the project to the Verkolf Group. We had a good feeling about the price and delivery time with them. It was striking that the tight schedule of twelve weeks was not only met, but even exceeded. They relieved us tremendously."
Gerald Loohuis, director of operations at wholesaler Stylepoint, also chose the racking from Nimar Storage Solutions. Stylepoint stocks more than 2,500 products in its warehouse. This was a complex project, namely a warehouse within a warehouse, where the partitioning of the pallet racks also had to be fully produced. Including escape routes and access doors. "The whole process went well and they were easily accessible at all times. We were very pleased with the speed of the project. As a result, during construction we were already able to start using the racking, which was already ready and inspected."
Nimar Storage Solutions manufactures the complete range: from pallet, drive-in and shuttle racking to cantilever, big box, shelving and mezzanine floors. Van Sas: "Everyone is welcome to visit our showroom and factory in Raamsdonksveer. But we are also certainly willing to provide no-obligation on-site advice."
